Notes from our bar ·

Tonight, there’s a cocktail behind every door.

The Green Ghost, a little mystery and a few ideas for tonight’s cocktails.

Last week, I shared a glimpse of the Halloween menu I was putting together for my family.

Now it’s ready for tonight.

Five doors, each with its own character—and a cocktail waiting behind it. A little curiosity before the first drink is made.

One of them is the Green Ghost, served up in a Nick & Nora glass with a lime twist.

The five cocktails on tonight’s menu are Green Ghost, Witch’s Currant and Pumpkin Noir, alongside two alcohol-free cocktails: Moonlit Orchard and Blood Moon Fizz. Five different choices, with something to look forward to whether you’re drinking alcohol or not.

You can now open the five doors on our Halloween page and try the sample guest experience. Choose “Open the Halloween doors” below to take a look.

My favourite part is seeing the menu come together: choosing the drinks, adding the artwork, then opening the guest view and seeing what my family will see. The recipes and preparations stay on my side; they get to explore and choose.

A little preparation, more time together

If you’re making cocktails this evening, keep the menu manageable. Pick a few drinks, check your ingredients, and prepare the garnishes before anyone arrives. Include an alcohol-free choice with just as much thought behind it.

You don’t need five doors to make it feel like an occasion. Even one familiar cocktail, given a seasonal name and a little surprise in its presentation, can start a conversation.

I’ll be trying out our menu with the family tonight. Which would you open first: the ghost, the pumpkin or the potion bottle?

It’s all about the occasion.
