My father-in-law was staying with us. He likes whisky, lemon and ginger, so I decided to make him a Penicillin.

I thought about the flavours he enjoyed. He loved it.

That’s the pleasure behind TwentyTwo-2: choosing something with a person in mind, then sharing it with them.

A drink can bring an evening back

First in Verona.
Then at our bar.

We first tried a Mistaken Negroni overlooking the Arena in Verona one summer. When my father-in-law wasn’t sure what he wanted, I told him about that evening and made him one.

He loved it. A drink we’d discovered away became something to share at home.

That’s what a personal collection can hold: the recipe, the memory and a reason to make it again.
